Dear Briones Families,
Thank you so much for all the support and care you have given the Juana Briones community after the sad news of the passing of our long-time secretary, Maria Eichler.
Maria was such an important part of the Briones family for 30 years and she is greatly missed. The family has setup a scholarship fund in her memory through the PTA.
For more information, please see this page about the Maria Eichler Scholarship.
Thank you again for all of your thoughts and support.

November 6-10 was Tasting Week at Juana Briones. Our students took part in the “Exploring Your Five Senses” program, an interactive experience that exposes children to the exciting world of foods. It is intended to education and encourage children to enjoy a wide variety of foods with the goal of improving lifelong health.
Nutrition specialists and chefs from some of the area’s best-known restaurants and led workshops to explore questions like: Do you know what makes food taste good? Did you know that our taste buds can sense five tastes: sweet, salty, sour, bitter and umami? Did you know that salt tastes different, depending on where it’s from?
